What accessibility options are available on Knowledge Network?

At Knowledge Network, we aim to make our programs easy to watch for as many viewers as possible. Our streaming services include accessibility features that work across different devices.

We continue to review and improve accessibility on our platforms and appreciate hearing from viewers. If you have feedback or suggestions, you can contact us using the options at the bottom of this page.

Below is a summary of accessibility features available on Knowledge Network.

Described Video

Some programs offer described video. This feature adds spoken information to help explain what appears on screen, such as movement or scene changes.

Assistive listening systems

Many TVs and devices support external audio equipment such as hearing aids, headphones, or neck loops. If your device allows audio connections, these tools can be used while watching Knowledge Network programs.

Voice control

On supported TV apps, you can search for and play programs using a voice-enabled remote or a connected voice assistant.

Keyboard shortcuts

When watching in a web browser on a computer, you can use these keyboard shortcuts to control playback. They let you pause or play a program, skip forward or back, adjust volume, or change the screen view.

Display brightness

Brightness is usually adjusted through your TV or device settings. Most mobile devices include built-in brightness controls. In the Knowledge Network mobile app, you can also adjust brightness using the control on the left side of the video player.
