What is Described Video and how do I use it?

Described Video (also called audio description) provides spoken narration of important visual details in a program. It explains actions, scene changes, and on-screen text to help viewers follow what’s happening more easily.

Which Knowledge Network programs include Described Video?

Some Knowledge Network programs include a Described Video audio track, but not all titles offer this feature.

How to turn on Described Video on knowledge.ca or in the Knowledge App

  1. Start playing a program.
  2. Look for the “DD” button at the bottom of the video player.
