We’re currently working on a dedicated Knowledge app for Samsung and LG smart TVs, which is planned to launch in March 2027. The app will be available through smart TV app stores.
Currently, you can access Knowledge Kids via the Knowledge Kids app, which is available on Samsung Smart TV models from 2016–2020. The app can be downloaded from the Samsung App Store on your TV.
Unfortunately, we do not currently support playback on smart TV browsers.
There are a few other ways to watch Knowledge on your smart TV in the meantime:
Cast from a smartphone, tablet, or computer
Many Samsung and LG smart TVs support Apple AirPlay or Google Chromecast. These features let you wirelessly display video from a smartphone, tablet, or computer on your TV screen.
To cast, make sure your device and smart TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then look for the AirPlay or Cast icon while watching on the Knowledge app or at knowledge.ca and select your TV from the list of available devices.
If you need help setting up AirPlay or Chromecast, please see our Help Center articles below.
Please note that casting support varies by TV model. If you're unsure whether your TV supports AirPlay or Chromecast, check your owner's manual or search online for your TV model number and casting information.
Connect a computer to your TV with an HDMI cable
You can also connect a laptop or desktop computer directly to your TV using an HDMI cable. This lets you watch Knowledge on your TV by displaying your computer screen on the TV.
Simply connect the HDMI cable between your computer and TV, then use your TV remote to switch to the correct HDMI input. Once connected, visit knowledge.ca in your web browser and start watching.
Please note that some newer computers may require an HDMI adapter if they do not have a built-in HDMI port.
Use a streaming device
Another option is to use a streaming device such as a Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, or Android TV device.
These devices plug into your TV's HDMI port and let you download and use the Knowledge app on your TV. Once connected, install the Knowledge app from the device's app store and sign in to start watching.
Streaming devices are widely available, and some basic models can be purchased for around $30 to $40. They can be an easy way to access the Knowledge app on your TV.
If you need help with any of these options, please contact us using the link below and fill out the Streaming Support form. Sharing a few details about your TV, device, and setup will help us assist you more quickly.
