Gifts from wills/trusts and estates are deposited into the Knowledge Network Endowment Fund. The original gift is never touched. Only the income generated is used to support programming. The legal name is Knowledge Network Corporation. Our Charitable business number is 12153 2816 RR0001.
Here is suggested will wording you can discuss with your advisor:
General Bequest of a stated sum of money may be worded: “I give the sum of $_______ [insert the exact dollar amount] to Knowledge Network Corporation to be added to the Knowledge Network Endowment Fund.”
Specific Bequest of a certain asset from your estate may be worded: “I give my [insert description of specific property] to Knowledge Network Corporation to be sold and the proceeds added to the Knowledge Network Endowment Fund.”
Residuary Bequest, after other bequests and expenses have been paid, may be worded: “I give all or ________% [insert percentage] of the residue and remainder of my estate to Knowledge Network Corporation to be added to the Knowledge Network Endowment Fund.”
